Many of us assumed that we could achieve a life-sustaining society without the collapse of the global corporate economy. But given the depth and breadth of the unraveling, breakdown now seems inevitable. Anguish over such widespread loss has touched all parts of the world.

That anguish is unavoidable if we stay honest and alert. The Great Turning comes with no guarantees. Its risk of failure is its reality. Insisting on belief in a positive outcome puts blinders on us and burdens the heart.

We might manage to convince ourselves that everything will surely turn out all right, but would such reassurance elicit our greatest courage and creativity?

If you do not fear failure… you cannot fail.

If you do not fear losing, victory is certain.

No need to achieve, you can’t miss the mark.

No need to be recognised, you can’t be ignored.

Success is simple, inevitable.

Letting go of the need to succeed, success is yours.
